Observe
I observed what impacts a user’s decision when purchasing travel packages online. This information is vital to know before choosing the elements, information, text and imagery I will use for the website design. I chose to interview potential users to gain the information.
Here is the script I wrote for the interviews:
Demographics
Age Bracket (18-25) (25-30) (30-45) (45-60)
Occupation/Profession
Martial Status
Number of people in household

Define
After analyzing feedback from the user interviews and the competitive usability testing, I created a persona and then a card sort to help clearly define the users’ goals and shopping behaviors.
